Can anyone suggest hackathons or any competitions through which companies recruit students? What languages to learn for such competitions?

I would personally suggest not to waste time on hackathons and instead work on a project or do an internship.

I disagree with you @Vishal, because hackathons and coding competitions gives you an insight how real life projects would be like and how you can resolve them. It gives you an idea how good you are in any specific technology, as well as to the employers (companies) to measure a candidate based on their problem solving skills.

There are a lot of platforms that test your coding skills and analytical abilities.

Platforms like Techgig, Hacker Earth, Hacker Rank, Skillenza etc look for recruiting skilled coders and problem solvers through various coding challenges and other hackathons  that they host. Its really helpful for engineering grads looking for an apt opportunity!
