what can i classify my job profile as?

Hi,

I have close to 6 years experience now in IT industry.

The tools that i work on in my day to day basis are Jenkins, JFrog, Nginx , Docker and a little work on Linux server(not server admin).

I write code(automation scripts in Bash and Python) on a day to day basis.

These programs include data manipulation from REST API's or uploading data to the data base mostly in Python.

What can i classify my profile as?  I am not a tester nor  a developer.

I think the profile you described is of a devops engineer, so you can classify yourself as a DevOps Engineer.

So I think what you do is for sure part DevOps Engineer...And probably part release engineer...Not too sure what this would count as..

But you should have your job role in your Offer Letter right? :)
(Make sure you have your Key Roles and Designation defined by your manager/HR if its not already in place)

Your job profile could also be DevOps Automation Engineer as you work on DevOps tools and try to automate things every day.
