How do you handle stress? [closed]

Hi,

I am a fresher, according to resume I have done my final year project with some other projects also. The interviewer asked me " How did you handle stress"? I did answer to that question like "we had 10 members in our group so, handling project work was not that difficult". I guess the interviewer was not satisfied with my answer. Can anyone suggest any better answer to this?

Hey,

According to your answer, it is not clear what you have done the most to handle stress in that situation. The interviewer asks this question keeping in mind some of the key points regarding every candidate. They are interviewing many people for that particular position. Employers want to know you will handle it constructively with a good attitude to maintain good company culture.

So you can answer with an example like, " Communication is key for me in a stressful situation. For example, I was working on a project with other team members and we found there was a duplicate work being done. By scheduling a weekly meeting and keeping an honest answer with our team members, we took forward the project and ended up contributing to a significant company goal in a big way".

This one's a  typical interview question, asked to get a sense of how you handle on-the-job stress.

Examples of good responses include:

  • From an individual point of view, I oversee worry by visiting the exercise center each night. It's an incredible pressure reducer.

  • Organizing my duties so I have an unmistakable thought of what should be done when, has helped me successfully oversee pressure at work.

  • I've done some of my best work under tight deadlines, where the atmosphere was very stressful,etc...etc.
