Should I accept higher salary in the same company after sending resignation letter

I am working in a company for 3 years. I have always been among the top 5 performers in my team. Recently my team got a hike but I was not satisfied with mine. I went to my manager and told him that I deserved a higher salary (in a professional way). He said that he could not give me a higher salary. I had an offer from another company with a better salary so I sent my resignation to my manager. The next day my manager came to me and told that he would increase my salary. After the negotiation and submitting resignation, should I accept the salary and stay?

Though your submission of resignation would have brought a bump, if you are valuable to the organization, there's a chance that you can have a good career there. If you have been one of the top performers then you might have higher chances of promotions too.
