What is a good career domain for a 40 years old Software Developer

I am 40 years old not and I have been a Software Developer for about 20 years. It has kind of got boring for me doing the same thing. Which is a good domain for a career switch?

20 years of Software Development will have got you amazing programming skills. So, you could switch to a career that includes coding. Blockchain, Big-Data Hadoop, Machine Learning, etc. All these domains require good coders. So, you can get a certification in one of these domains that you wish to, and then switch to that domain. If you are bored with coding itself, then you can get into Management. You can become a Development Manager, Associate Vice President. And if you don't want to be in IT anymore, then you can get into teaching.

There is no exact answer to your question, but switching into a different domain after gaining experience in one domain or tool would make your career not boring. Working with a single tool or technology would make you stand in the same spot for years without only experience in 1 tool than grow your knowledge. I would suggest learning new technologies will make you stand out of the crowd with more experience and knowledge to have a good career and work on multiple domains.
