When I was working with EC2 instance, I used elastic block store as a storage unit, I want to use the same EBS unit to different instance but I am not sure whether we can do this, can any one help me?

Elastic Block Store (EBS) is the logical volume used along with EC2 instances

  • Such type of storage is used to store the data that needs to be accessed quickly and runs in demand for the long-time
  • Volume and instance must be in the same Availability Zone
  • A volume can be attached to only one instance at a time
  • But it can be detached and attached between the instances within the same Availability Zone
  • N number of EBS volumes can attached to one instance, but one EBS volume can be attached to only one instance at a time

I hope this helps you!
