why do you want this job [closed]

Question

Hi,

I went for an interview where the interviewer asked me this question that " Why do you want this job"? But i just wanted a job at that point of time, so could not prepare proper explanation to this. Can anyone suggest a better way to handle this question?

Hey,

See this is a common HR question you will get in most of the interview session. You can answer the question like " In my career, I am sure of one thing and that is I want to build a decent career in my current domain. My present job has shown me the path to move and attain what has been my long-term career objective. I have acquired the necessary skills to some extent as well as have got accustomed to the corporate way of working. I guess this job can help me set up a strong professional life foundation".

By posing this question, the recruiter wants to:

• Know about your career aspirations.

• Make sure that you are genuinely interested in the job and will be motivated to perform if hired

• Your knowledge about the company, industry, position (and if you took the time to research)

• To know your priorities and preferences — which aspects of the company and/or job are appealing to you and why?

A sample answer could be:

"All things considered, I have incredible regard for your organization's product items and I would respect the chance to work with the best in the business. Simultaneously, I have companions in the business who have educated me regarding your organization's regard for workers and how you make an extraordinary situation for compensating advancement. I figure my proactive style would fit in truly well here — particularly in this specific job."
