Can AWS be used to Host a Website?

Can I load or host a website using AWS? I certainly know AWS provides you with various services. I am just not certain if I can host a website and use my my own domain for the same. Please Help....

Certainly, it can be used to do so (ie host a website)

You can definitely use AWS to host a website. You can use the domain registration service to register your new domain. If you already own a domain and simply want to use AWS for hosting your content, you could do that as well. Simply point your CNAME record to the elastic IP that is associated with your EC2 instance.

Yes! you can host a fully static web site in a S3 bucket. You can have client side scripting, just no database with server side logic (So static HTML and no PHP/RoR etc)
