Is certification a must to become a Java developer?

Do we need to get any certification to become a java developer? If yes, can you help me with few certifications?

Java is a very popular object-oriented programming language. As such, there is no definite answer to this. Java can be learned easily even without certifications. You can become a successful Java developer even without any certifications. But, if you wish to master Java without certification, then you should very thorough with Java Fundamentals and advanced Java concepts as well. 

But, pursuing certification is also an added advantage. And Oracle provides below certifications.

Hey @Neha, You don't really need a certification for becoming a java developer. Knowledge plays a greater role here. Know the concepts, learn how to apply them and ace the interview, show them you're worth it and you're good to go. If you don't know much about java I would recommend you to learn and in that case taking up a course would be a better option as you'll get to learn as well get a certification which can be presented in your resume.
