How can I migrate multiple jenkins jobs and its configurations from one server to another given the jenkins version is different on both servers

I have several jobs on an old jenkins server and wish to migrate it to new server, having different version of jenkins.

Would copying the jenkins home directory work? Or is there any other way around to automate job migration?

Thanks in advance!!
