I personally prefer docker swarm. It's because docker swarm is more better when it comes to compatibility and it also integrates smoothly. Kubernetes usually requires custom plug-ins but with docker swarm all dependencies are handled by itself.

Kubernetes is developed by Google and has vast open source community. It's more customizable and extensive. Kubernetes is a wise choice compared to choosing Docker Swarm

Swarm is easy handling while kn8 is perfect suite for enterprise cluster. Services and configMap design can be handle smoothly in kn8. In short my vote is for kn8.

But Kubernetes is very difficult to install and use, might as well use docker swarm as it is able to do almost everything kubernetes does and plus its very easy to use.
@lina, Docker swarm cannot do a lot of things that kubernetes can, one such example is cron job which is not possible on docker as far as i know.
@Mahesh, if you have more such features which makes kubernetes a preferable option please do let us know!
On paper, K8s are better than Swarm.
But in practice, it is very tough to actually see Kubernetes perform better than Swarm. Because the configurations we are talking about are so extreme, that even compute engines at Google and Facebook can manage the same performance with Swarm.

But yes, beyond a point, Swarm gives in and that is where K8s come into the picture.

I feel kubernetes and docker swarm shouldn't be compared. Docker swarm is a containerization platform and Kubernetes is a container management tool. Both working together gives the best results.
