unable to configure knife on centos ec2 instance using chef12

I'm trying to configure knife using the 'knife configure -i'  command but this comes up:

FATAL: Cannot find subcommand for: 'osc_user configure -i'

What am I doing wrong here?

I had the same issue. I solved it by keeping the .pem file and username same.
