Hey, I have followed this steps, After that i had this problem as " ArtifactDescriptorException: Failed To read Artifact for JUnit" and How can be clear this Exception?

Hi,

You try the below steps once.

Go to your project -> maven -> update-project -> force to update snapshot/release -> OK.

Let us know if it is working or not.

Hey, I have followed this steps, but I have another problem occurs " FAILED TO TRANSFER: ERROR CODE 501 HTTP REQUIRED".

Hi,

If you have a plugin execution defined in your pom (like the execution of maven-ear-plugin:generate-application-xml), you also need to add additional config information for M2E that tells M2E what to do when the build is run in Eclipse, e.g. should the plugin execution be ignored or executed by M2E, should it be also done for incremental builds. If that information is missing, M2E complains about it by showing this error message.

Hey, @Boopathy,

Please be clear in explaining the problem you faced. Anyway I will demonstrate the steps in creating a maven project

  1. GoTo "File" --> "New" --> "Maven Project" . You will see the below window

enter image description here

  1. Click on "Next".You will see the below

enter image description here

  1. Now if you want a simple maven project choose "maven-archetype-quickstart" . If you want a webapp then choose "maven-archetype-webapp"(type "webapp" in search box and you should find it)

  2. Once you have made the selection , click on "next" . You will see the below

enter image description here

  1. For "GroupId" - Add your company/organization name For "ArtifactId" - Add your project name

  2. Click on "Finish"

Eclipse will now have no problem in creating a maven project for you.

Hope this helps!
