master -> master (non-fast-forward) error: failed to push some refs to ''

I am getting the below error when trying to push data from local to GitHub. How can I solve this error?

! [rejected]        master -> master (non-fast-forward)
error: failed to push some refs to ''
hint: Updates were rejected because the tip of your current branch is behind
hint: its remote counterpart. Integrate the remote changes (e.g.
hint: 'git pull ...') before pushing again.
hint: See the 'Note about fast-forwards' in 'git push --help' for details.

To update your local repo to GitHub you used git push command. But if there are any changes occur in GitHub, at that situation you have to fetch your data from GitHub and pull all the changes from GitHub. You can use the below command before using push command.

$ git fetch

$ git pull origin master
