log files stored before they are delivered to my Amazon S3 bucket - CloudTrail

While using AWS CloudTrail or in fact any AWS services, the logs are recorded and processed and then sent to S3. But where are these logs stored and processed before getting shifted to S3?

All activity information is stored and processed in the same region where the action is made and delivered to the region associated with your Amazon S3 bucket. Activity information for services which has only one endpoint is captured in the region where the endpoint is located, its processes where your cloudtrail lives and transfered to region you have s3 bucket in.
