How to iterate over row in a Dataframe in Pandas

0 votes

I have a dataframe from pandas:

import pandas as pd
inp = [{'c1':1, 'c2':10}, {'c1':11,'c2':13}, {'c1':12,'c2':14}]
df = pd.DataFrame(inp)
print df
And the output is:
   c1   c2
0  1    10
1  11   13
2  12   14
Now I want to iterate over the rows of this frame. For every row I want to be able to access its elements (values in cells) by the name of the columns.

Hi,

You can use df.iterrows(), it yields both index and row.

Input:

import pandas as pd
import numpy as np
df = pd.DataFrame([{'c1':1, 'c2':10}, {'c1':11,'c2':13}, {'c1':12,'c2':14}])

for index, row in df.iterrows():
    print(row['c1'], row['c2'])

Output:

  1  10
  11 13
  12 14
