Hey,

Hive contains significant support for Apache Spark, wherein Hive execution is configured to Spark:

  • hive> set spark.home=/location/to/sparkHome;
  • hive> set hive.execution.engine=spark;
  • Hive on Spark supports Spark on yarn mode by default.
