Can I add extra miners to an Ethereum Private Network

I have created an Ethereum Private Network and have started mining. When I mine, there’s only one miner mining the block. I want to increase this number. How can I add more miners to this network?

Miners are basically nodes that are connected to the network. So, when you have one peer connected in the network, you can only have a maximum of one miner. If you want more miners, then you have to add more peers to this network and then start mining.

To add miners, add peers. Then with that peer as an active peer in a new terminal, enter into geth console. And then start mining using:

> miner.start()
