is it possible to assign a Feature User Story Task to a team Group in VSTS

+1 vote

The project I'm working on got different teams/areas:

Project Teams

Areas

Is it possible to assign a Feature/userstory/task to a team [group]? I found this link with respect to TFS, but could not do the same in VSTS.

I have a requirement to give a job [Meetings/KT/stand-up call / ..] to place groups / groups rather than individuals.

We can not assign a work item to several [Group / Command]. Microsoft has not yet reviewed this, find the link below

Assign a Work Item to Multiple [Group/Team]

In the event that you need to specify a work item for any particular / specific command, you can do this by matching the "Path to Area" field with this particular individual command [Can not Map Multiple Commands].

In most cases, we would break Work Items down, so it can be assigned to single user. There's no direct way of doing this but you can doing something like this.

1. create a new process using process inheritance. For example Agile -> blogTestAgile.

2. Once you have the inherited process you can add a new field that allows group identities to be assigned. Add a field "Allow assigning to groups" enabled.

3. create new Notification Subscriptions for assignment to group as well as perform queries based on group assignment.
