Add a shape to a specific cell in Excel

Question

Is it possible to insert a rectangle shape into a cell within the range (A1:H4) such that the rectangle shape remains in the cell it was placed into even after the range is sorted?

3 new forms were added to the original range for Washington and Roosevelt.

After sorting on Name column this happens:

Is it possible to tie a shape to a particular cell?

When you use SORT() or data->sort on the ribbon to sort across several columns, the rows are preserved and the colours remain in place. For instance:

=SORT(A2:AH4)

Will sort those 3 rows in ID# order and keep your colors with each row as it moves.
