the project management challenge is educating the project management team. Many of them are senior managers and they tend to have an organizational, rather than a project, mindset. I have to explain that project risks and issues must affect projects, not organizational, outcomes.
They also don't like closing issues, wanting to keep them open "just in case". In hindsight, we should have set out a resolution criterion so we could clearly know when the issue is resolved and, thus, can be closed.
