How to configure maven in CentOS/ RHEL system?

Hi Guys,

I am trying to configure maven in RedHat system. I am not able to configure. Can someone help me how can I configure maven in my system?

Hi@akhtar,

You can follow the below given steps to configure maven in your system

  • Download maven software.

https://mirrors.estointernet.in/apache/maven/maven-3/3.6.3/binaries/apache-maven-3.6.3-bin.tar.gz

  • Unpack tar.gz file using the below given command.

$ tar -xzf apache-maven-3.6.3-bin.tar.gz
  • Download java in your system.

  • Finally set maven and java path in .bashrc file.

export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.8.0_221-amd64/
export PATH=/usr/java/jdk1.8.0_221-amd64/bin:$PATH                                                                                                                          export M2_HOME=/maven/
export PATH=/maven/bin:$PATH 
  • Update your .bashrc file using the below command.

$ source .bashrc
