I am trying to detect my face using haarcasecade model. I used haarcascade_frontalface_default.xml model to recognize. But I am getting this below error.

OpenCV Error: Unspecified error (The node does not represent a user object (unknown type?)) in cvRead, file /build/opencv-FWWjHr/opencv-2.4.9.1+dfsg/modules/core/src/persistence.cpp, line 4991

How can I solve this error?

Hi@akhtar,

I think it should work. But make sure you are using the current haarcascade_frontalface_default.xml model. To download you can use the below given link.

https://github.com/opencv/opencv/tree/master/data/haarcascades

Hope this will help.

Thank You
