Changing filter values based on parameter selection - Tableau

I want to filter field from field after applying selecting parameter from another field.how to do this?

Hi, I will show you an example of filtering sub category from selecting category through parameter.

Follow below steps:

1. Add a parameter with required field.

2. Add a calculated field to select the values from parameter into a new field.

3. Now add the created field into filter shelf.

4. Now when a parameter is selected, filter values would change wrt parameter.
