How to change the instance type in AWS?

I have my instance size as t2.micro and I want to change it to large. How can i do that? Please help me with a suitable way.

Using the AWS Console.

You can follow the following steps and change the instance type.

  • Go to "Volumes" and create a Snapshot of your instance's volume.
  • Go to "Snapshots" and select "Create Image from Snapshot".
  • Go to "AMIs" and select "Launch Instance" and choose your "Instance Type" etc.
