Use external template to create AMI in AWS

At my on-premise i have VMWare Enviroment, I am using a specific Custom built Template to create VM.

How can i make use of this templates & use as AMI in AWS to create Instances.

Can someone help me with this?

Hey @user,

Amazon provides a feature called VM import/export which helps us to import a VM from our virtualisation environment to Amazon EC2 as an AMI. We can launch an instance from that AMI.

You can directly import your Image in vmdk format and upload it to S3 bucket and then create an AMI for the same.
