What is the default location of Hadoop log files how can I change that location

Once I start the Hadoop daemons using start-all.sh command, I am not getting the Secondary NameNode when I execute jps command. I need to check the log files to know the error. Can anyone tell me where is the default location of log files? Also, how can I change the location of the log file?

The default directory of Hadoop log file is $HADOOP_HOME/logs (i.e. log directory in Hadoop home directory).

The hadoop-env.sh file in Hadoop configuration directory (i.e. $HADOOP_HOME/etc/hadoop/hadoop-env.sh) contains the following property:

# export HADOOP_LOG_DIR=${HADOOP_HOME}/logs

Uncomment this line and add the location of your choice.
