Excel there was a problem sending the command to the program

Every time I start MS Excel 2016 in Windows 10, I receive this error. I have attempted to remove the checkmark next to "Ignore other apps that employ Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)" in the Advanced settings, but the issue persists. Any recommendations?

1. You go to Regedit -> HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Sheet.12\Shell\Open :
   • change "ddeexec" key into "ddeexec.old"
   • change "command" key, Default value = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office 2016\Office16\EXCEL.EXE (%1)"
