Cell character counting formula

Question

I need a formula that counts both the total amount of characters in a cell and the frequency with which those characters appear.

For instance, in column A

201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, and 1005 are the numbers in a set of ten cells.

Five cells have three characters, while five cells have four. What would the answer to this be? I'm not sure how many characters in each cell I would need to count, but I'm thinking that will be a simple formula edit in the future.

With data in column A, in B1 enter:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(LEN(A:A)=ROW()))

Then copy downwards:
