Calculate age in excel

Question

My date of birth is 23-05-2015(dd/mm/yyyy) and I need to figure out how old I am. I attempted to use the formula =DATEDIF(C3,TODAY(),"Y") but received a #VALUE! error. The formula appears as =DATEDIF("23/05/2015",42866,"Y" when I evaluate it. I believe the date format (dd/mm/yyyy) is to blame.

 is there any method where I can achieve this?

Write =Today-C3 and then press Ctrl+1 and select Number for the format. 

Or try this:

=DATEDIF(DATE(YEAR(A24),MONTH(A24),DAY(A24)),TODAY(),"Y")
