Hadoop for data migration

I'm new to Hadoop.

I need to move large binary files from various sources in a JCR complaint flat file repository.

Is Hadoop a good choice for this transfer? are there any other choices?

You can use Hadoop for these kinds of transfers as it works parallelly. but you can use sqoop for these type of transfers.
