I'm new to this Google Cloud, this is my first cloud computing platform working with.

Can anyone explain me the difference between the App Engine and Compute Engine?

I'm a bit confused.

Starting with the basic point of difference, the Google Compute Engine is Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and the App Engine is Platform as a Service (PaaS).

You can create your VMs in the Compute Engine and deploy the same or any other application you have on the App Engine.

In App Engine we have limited facility and google manages all the server setup for you while in compute engine we ourselves make a virtual machine on server and we manages it

Thank you for the precise answer but can you please tell me something more?
Can you explain with the help of use case as to, in which situation a simpler App Engine functionality would be better and during which scenario Compute Engine is a better option. For my daily work in GCP, i use Compute Engine. Hence i'm just trying to understand the better option.
