Intrustion Detection System on the AWS platform

Is there a solution for an intrustion detection system on the AWS platform? Would you have to go 3rd party or do they have their own offering?

• Instruction Detection System (IDS) is different  when compared to on-premise "traditional" setups in the cloud computing and AWS offers a wide range of options in the security area.

      example: IAM, CloudTrail & VPC Flow Logs. 

•  Depending on what you are willing to achieve,they will serve as building blocks for IDS.
• EC2 Instance IDS solutions offer key features to help protect your launched EC2 instances. 
• McAfee Virtual Network Security Platform (McAfee® vNSP) is a complete intrusion detection and prevention system designed for the cloud computing that offers real-time threat protection to your public cloud infrastructure.
• If you want to know more about "traditional" Instruction Detection System, then check AWS Marketplace via partners, 

         example: Sophos, AlertLogic, TrendMicro, CloudPassage.
