Error while raising cert signing request

Question

Unable to connect from puppet agent to master. I am using edureka VMs for doing the task of signing certificate. Puppet.conf fiile is empty on the master. Would that be a problem? I opened 8140 port on master and ensured puppet server is running. telnet localhost 8140 is working fine but when I try to use telnet puppet 8140 it not able to open tcp port from agent. I added DNS entry for puppet in hosts file, however its not working.

ran this command to enable puppet server still no luck : sudo systemctl enable puppetserver

First, check the DNS server you have maintained. Try to ping every system with the hostname. If it is working fine then paste the log file and error here.
