Automation is like fuel to the devops vehicle. Automation engineer plays an important role in an organization using the DevOps culture. Since there are many disparate processes within DevOps, the automation tools help to bring them all together. Automation also helps to integrate the various phases of DevOps. Automation is also useful in monitoring the project along with the testing of the software using automated tools. Hence the role of an automation engineer is vital to any DevOps implementation.
