Composer playground - issue on RHEL

Os - RHEL 7.4 x86_64 architecture

node js installed using nvm

composer installed using npm

Post installation of Composer v0.20 using Hyperledger fabric v1.20

when try to execute below command:


expected result - http://<<ServerIP>>:8080/login should open in the browser using UI, showing the business network

Issue encountered - URL is not opening in the browser and below information is seen in the server

info: [Hyperledger-Composer] :LoadModule               :loadModule()              Loading composer-wallet-filesystem from /home/hyper/.nvm/versions/node/v8.9.3/lib/node_modules/composer-playground/node_modules/composer-wallet-filesystem

info: [Hyperledger-Composer] :PlaygroundAPI            :createServer()            Playground API started on port 8080

Hey, Renu353. There could be more than one possible issues for this problem. I have listed below some solutions.

  1. Open your browser manually, clear cache and cookies, then run composer-playground
  2. If that doesn't work, try opening your browser from your command line. If you are not able to open it, re-install your browser
  3. If you are running composer-playground as root, try running it as non-root user (certain browsers do not allow you to open the browser if you are root).
  4. Re-install nodejs, composer, composer-playground.
