Why do people prefer mining Litecoin over Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is what made Blockchain popular but after Litecoin came to light, people are shifting to mine Litecoin more than Bitcoin. Why is this?

The main reason people prefer mining Litecoin over Bitcoin is because Litecoin uses Scrypt algorithm which is faster and also you require less computational power to mine Litecoin compared to Bitcoin.
