Excel number format scale number by ten thousand or hundred thousand

Is there a method to display 10,000 or 100,000 in Excel as one number?

The number is scaled by one thousand when there is a comma at the end of a number format. If a number is formatted as "#," 2000 will show up as "2."

Is it possible to make "20,000" or "200,000" look like the number "2"? What number format should I use for this?

In the MSExcel spreadsheet, Right Click on the cell. Then from properties:

Click on Format Cells -> Click on Tab “Number" -> "Custom"

Now, enter the following text in the "Type" Box.
