HTML table with fixed headers

0 votes
Can a large HTML table be displayed using a cross-browser CSS/JavaScript approach so that the column headers do not scroll with the table body but rather remain stationary on the screen? Consider Microsoft Excel's "freeze panes" feature.

I need the column headers to always be visible at the top while I can browse through the table's contents.
