I tried to start hbase server, but I am getting session expired.

Hi@akhtar,

To avoid this error you have to follow the below given steps.

  • You have to increase the session timeout for Zookeeper.

  • For increasing session time out of Zookeeper, you have to modify the following property in "hbase-site.xml".

  • The default session timeout is 60 seconds. You can change it to 120 seconds as mentioned below

<property>
    <name> zookeeper.session.timeout </name>
    <value>1200000</value>
</property>
<property>
    <name> hbase.zookeeper.property.tickTime </name>
    <value>6000</value>
</property>
