How you keep yourself updated with the current technology

Hi,

I am fresher and recently pass out. I went for an interview after all the technical questions got over, the interviewer asked me 'How you keep yourself updated with the current technology'? I answered, like, " I get to know about it from my faculties and friends". Can anyone suggest what the answer should be convincing enough to this kind of questions?

You could probably tell the interview that you follow a couple of bloggers/techies/tech magzines on various social media platforms who write about the recent technology trends, and if something matches with your interests, you go back and try to learn it.

Whenever an interviewer asks this kind of questions, make sure you answer in such a way where he should understand that you are familiar with the upcoming technologies. You can answer like " I keep myself connected to social networking sites, the first platform for any technological advancement news and also keep surfing on the latest technology on the internet". You can even say that you are connected to professional people from different media and have a continuing conversation with them regarding the growing technologies.
