I have done Computer Science Engineering and have been working as a data analyst for a year now. When would be a good time for my masters? Like a years experience is good enough?

Hey @Nikhil, Masters does not ask for work experience. You can do it whenever you want. Have a look at universities you want to apply for and check for requirements. A year's experience is pretty good for the masters. Its different from MBA as most colleges ask for 2 years of work experience.

No. According to me, 1 year of experience is not enough. This is because, in 1 year, you will have spent some time in training and then the rest in actual work. So the actual experience you will have is around 8 months. And that's why I suggest to have at least 3 years of experience.

Yes. If you have 1 year of experience now, then start preparing for exams and write it. After that, apply for colleges. All this will take around 6 months minimum. And by the time you will join the university, you will have over 1.5 years of experience.

This completely depends on what higher studies you're going to pursue. Masters does not require any experience, so you can start right away. Most of the other courses might ask for 2-3 years of work experience, try getting that and quit. Don't get stuck at work and ignore higher studies as that is something much needed.

If you're getting to learn and grow in your present company, don't quit. Experience counts more than anything and you might end up learning more at your job than while doing your masters.
