Is there any way to access Hadoop web UI in linux?

0 votes

I have just started learning Hadoop. So, I installed Hadoop 2.7.3 by following a tutorial Digital ocean tutorial for installing Hadoop in stand-alone mode. After installing i run start-dfs.sh and all my daemons are up and running.

But when I try to access urls from my web browser, for example, localhost:50030 or 0.0.0.0:50030 I get the following error: Unable to connect.

Please somebody help! What should I do?

In this case what you can do is just format the namenode:

$ bin/hdfs namenode -format

then start NameNode daemon and DataNode daemon:

$ sbin/start-dfs.sh
Browse the web interface for the NameNode; by default it is available at: NameNode - http://localhost:50070/

If you don't format the namenode, it won't start.

Hope this will help you.

Hi , I have tried all the steps and demon window also came,but while i connect to chrome i am getting below error.

This site can’t be reached

localhost refused to connect.

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Hey, @Lakshmipathy P,

Are you running a local server that you can connect to on a localhost port?

Try Live Server Extension AND check for Firewall Settings, Alternately, you can try restarting your device or try on another browser it should work.
