How to delete AWS account

How do I delete my AWS account? I will not be charged right(if I delete my account)?

Hi @Hannah. Follow these steps to close your account:

1. Sign in from root user(not IAM user)
2. Open the Account Settings page of the Billing and Cost Management console.
3. Go to Close Account heading
4. Select the check box, and then choose Close Account.
5. In the confirmation box, choose Close Account.
