How to set maximum dynamic partitions in MapReduce mode?

0 votes
Hi. I want to set a limit of dynamic partitions that can be created in the MapReduce mode. I don't know if the limit is set to a higher number or the limit is not set at all but I want to set the maximum number of dynamic partitions that can be created to 10. How can I do this?

There is a default maximum number of dynamic partitions that are allowed to be created in MapReduce node and it is set to 100. If you want to change it to 10, you can do it as follows:

$ hive --hiveconf hive.exec.max.dynamic.partitions.pernode=10
