What does _ mean in solidity language?

There are so many programs which use the _ symbol and I don’t understand why it’s used.

Ex:

modifier onlyOwner {

    if(msg.sender != owner) throw;

    _;

} 

Can someone tell?

The _ symbol is a place holder. It is used to mentioned the place where you can include the function.
