Hi, @Subhashree,

As you have mentioned, you are working as a teacher, then I hope you have an idea about handling students and reading the psychology of students. If you want to start your career with IT industries then  I would suggest you start learning new technologies like Python or Java or any language which can help you to get a job in IT industries.

You can check these playlists for gathering knowledge on Python https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGJJIrtnfpk&list=PL9ooVrP1hQOHY-BeYrKHDrHKphsJOyRyu and for JAVA you can go through this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvf2FMtJPZY&list=PL9ooVrP1hQOHb4bxoHauWVwNg4FweDItZ

One additional piece of advice I want to share with you is that, you can start doing freelancing once you learn or develop  skills on the technologies well. There are many online websites who asks for freelancers who can teach them online. As you already have a knowledge of techning, I hope this option will be good for you.

Hi @Subhashree,

Hope you are keeping well in these tough times.

It is definitely possible to switch careers to the IT sector. Since you are a teacher, you will have a lot more advantages while learning the skills that would help you fetch an IT job and survive in the IT sector.

I would suggest learning one programming language like Java or maybe python and also picking up the latest technology that interests you and start gaining expertise in it.

Also just contemplate the role that you would like to join in or if you want to train the IT guys or maybe instruct them on a particular course. Decide on whether you want a core IT job like an analyst, a web developer or system admin or something of that sort or get into the training section of the IT sector.

Hope this helps! All the best! :)

Hi@Subhashree,

In recent the world has changed. Every IT companies have changing their way of working. So to get a job in the IT sector is difficult now a days. You need some proper skills set. You need to decide in which direction you want to go. If you research the current market a little bit, you can find Cloud, Devops, etc. are taking the market. So according to me, you need some advanced skills in those fields along with the basics.
