Hadoop Namenode start issue

0 votes

I am using hadoop version 2.7.3 and I am trying to start the processes. I am encountering an issue there. Every time I issue the start-dfs.sh command, the namenode is not starting, instead secondary name node is starting all the time. Due to this, I am unable to run the sqoop command at all or to copy to hdfs as well.

Try restarting the master:

$ sudo reboot
$ sudo service hadoop-master restart
$ sudo jps

Please try to execute the above command and let us know it is working or not.
