Change your following properties in hdfs-site.xml

<property>
   <name>dfs.namenode.name.dir</name>
   <value>C:/hadoop/data/namenode</value>
</property>
<property>
   <name>dfs.datanode.data.dir</name>
   <value>C:/hadoop/data/datanode</value>
</property>

to

<property>
   <name>dfs.namenode.name.dir</name>
   <value>/hadoop/data/namenode</value>
</property>
<property>
   <name>dfs.datanode.data.dir</name>
   <value>/hadoop/data/datanode</value>
</property>

Can you share the contents of hdfs-site.xml file?

Hi Wenzel,

Try to check your configuration, because it should start on 9000 port.

<configuration>

 <property>

 <name>fs.defaultFS</name>

 <value>hdfs://localhost:9000</value>

 </property>

</configuration>
Thank you! i had the same problem and is now resolved because of this.
