I am new to Hadoop and pig. Can anyone explain what relation keyword does in pig?

Hey,

A relation is a bag of tuples. Pig relation keyword is similar to a table in database, where the tuples in the bag correspond to the rows in a table. Here it is not required that every tuple contain the same number of fields.
